Founded by Maximilian Büsser in 2005 in Geneva, Switzerland, MB&F (Maximilian Büsser and Friends) is the most innovative and creative luxury watch brand in the world. Inspired by science fiction with elements of retro-futuristic cars and amphibians, MB&F watches and movements are full of the intricate, playful sophistication that has inspired watchmaking.

MB&F watches

The Horological Machines watch series combines science fiction, fantasy and fine watchmaking to tell the time like never before.

The 2007 Horological Machine No. 1 (HM1) featured the world’s first movement with four barrels mounted in parallel with mainsprings, as well as the first movement to transmit energy to the regulating system simultaneously through two sources. The next model, the MB&F HM2, was the first automatic movement with instantaneous hour change, concentric retrograde minutes, retrograde date, and a double-half moon phase indicator. The line is regularly updated with new complex, spectacular and whimsical watches, which are produced in small limited editions.

The MB&F Legacy Machine watch series has more traditional cases, but is equipped with no less innovative movements and dials. MB&F’s whimsical portfolio and unpredictable designs are the result of collaborations with independent watchmakers and designers working on custom movements and cases.

The first of the Legacy Machine models debuted in 2011. The retro-futuristic collection was created as if more than a century ago MB&F imagined what watches of the future could be. The Legacy Machine No. 1 made history as the first model to win two prizes in the same year at the 2012 Geneva Watch Grand Prix (Public Choice and Best Men’s Watch). A large 14mm flying balance sits front and center, suspended by two bridges, and two sub-dials display independent time zones.

Featuring a spherical crystal rising above the tourbillon and a small slanted dial, the MB&F Legacy Machine FlyingT series is the first MB&F watch designed specifically for women.
