The Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) 2022, the largest awards ceremony for achievements in the watch industry, has ended in Geneva. All categories were announced, including the main Aiguille d’Or (“Golden Hand”) award, which this year went to watch inventor and enthusiast Maximilian Busser.
GPGF is the best showcase in the world of watches. The ceremony is not perfect, as some important and influential watchmakers refuse to participate. For example, no watches from Rolex, Richemont (except Van Cleef & Arpels) or Swatch Group were presented this year. But GPHG is really important. This is one of the few events that brings together many aspects of the watch industry – from mechanical watches and jewelry to all elements of Swiss watchmaking culture. So, to the winners.
